Like a painting in crystal glass
He holds me in his heart
Transparent to the core
Abhorrent to the whore
Sorry
Whole
She holds his words dear
Like a christian holds the word
In him her truth is held
Abundantly clear
He is her
She is him
So she knows when
He says he loves
Her
He means it
He sees her
Continues to see
Her
Loving beyond measure
Beyond repercussion
She is a painter
Creating the picture
Of the souls’ desire
Implicating him in segments
Knowing he breathes into it
No questions asked
Not in the crystal glass
Each fragment a home
A perfectly chained redemption

Final Call
She flings her arms around my neck and squeezes me like she’s never going to let me go. My head spins as her lips brush against my cheek. She must be able to feel my heart thumping in my chest. I shuffle backwards and ram my hands into my coat pockets, watching her reach down and heave the rucksack across her shoulders.
