there is a silence of wisdom and a silence of ignorance

i wander in both, one is a cave another is an ocean

between them, lies a journey that is timeless

its eons measured in light of awakening

stillness holds the reins of its chariots

the mind runs on the fields of perception

a breath unfathomable spreads beneath

sowing and harvesting all dream movements

the caveman and the monk

never meet at the shores

one dies before the emergence of the other

the waves crash, the rocks fall

the dust of evolution

settles in slow motion

the tired traveler

returns to his abode

and looks at the souvenir

of a caravan that never was

and yet it was carved

like a temple statue

from the melody of a boundless mirror

he shall worship the journey

that never ends

its mystery forever

cherished in reflections
