In Passing

Just a game

What did your smile mean

when you said

I was the one

you need,

was it a trifle

and just play,

did it come down to soul

whispering dreams

and clouds

up in the moon

and undersea?

***

How can I tell

where sun lies

and the road

to happy fairies

and the grace

I seek in every candle,

each time I meet new smile

on road,

each moonshine tells me

you could be the one

now

or next lifetime.

***

Has the moment finally come

when you unveil the wish,

come in the light

and say the words,

do I dare wait for seconds longer

one more sunny tear

why can't I hear the melody

I long, I breathe,

I've dreamed so many winters past,

in seasons

of heart fire?

***

Beginning is the end

of one road meant to fall,

the path I take today carries me

once more

to you,

in new light

and the old

remembrance.

***

In kindness

and in grace

I look for morning bloom on cheeks

I thought you were the one

is there a sign to tell,

you wish,

you want,

you dream,

the same things that lie still

in glowing afternoons?

***

If one time you doubted the steps,

ivy beckons again at gate

I hold the key to this garden,

the way

is closed unless you share

same clouds,

same wonder,

and a love

that knows no end

to memories

to life, to chase,

eternal hide-and-seek with moon

and sunny whispers

in the night.

***

Bright candle, merry wish,

one day I'll hold your peace

as you have kept desire

graceful in yearning,

happy in sight,

for all time that has been

to come,

and fly

above moondust,

our flowers.

***
