In Her Tower

once upon a time

there was a girl

and her life was hell

but one day there was a boy

and he made her believe that life didn’t have to be a living hell

that life could be so much better than that

that she didn’t have to cry herself asleep every day

because he would be there for her

because he wouldn’t let her be alone

because he loved her

but one day

he left

and she was left alone to wonder

“why did he leave me?”

“i thought i made him happy”

“i thought that he loved me”

so she fell into her deep dark thoughts and didn’t know what to do

but then she realized

that if she could be happy with him

she could be happy without him

she could make herself happy

and love herself

so she decided that even though that would be difficult

she had to do it

because she wanted to be happy again

with or without him

because she was doing this for herself

and so she did

she decided to do this for herself

and so her journey began on loving herself
