Things will get better

I tell myself

They have to.

Your confusing actions

I question our friendship

Cautious to speak to you again.

A healthy friendship

Wavering

The impulse to say goodbye to you

Once and for all

Is always lingering.

You never want to communicate

In your eyes

I will never be good enough for you

All hope I had

For you to see the light

Is gone

And never will be back.

Nothing you do is unexpected

Sad that I know

You will always bring me down.

Letting go is what I have to do

Time for me to move forward

A refreshing feeling

To know that it is you

Who is the fool.
