I tried to love you

But you refused to be loved.

I tried to be the best that I could be

But my best wasn’t good enough.

You abused me physically, mentally, and emotionally

Leaving me wounded hurt and confused

Not understanding why you doing this to me.

I’ve found myself crying uncontrollably

For the pain you’ve caused me,

Asking myself “What did I do to deserve the pain and heartache?”

I tried to help you

But you refused my help.

I tried to be there for you

But you pushed me away

And now you have plenty of regrets

Wising it didn’t end this way

But it was you who took my love for granted.
