I never rest my head in one place for too long

but I'm always standing tall

I never rest my head in one place for too long

but if you show me kindess, I'm loyal like a dog

sit me down at the gates of Hell

and I'll hold my post until the devil changes their ways

a man should cultivate some land

to show he can commit to growth and change

you have to make life worth living

because you won't get out alive

an angel on the left side

a demon on the right

ultimately everyone chooses what helps them sleep at night

duty takes patience and sacrifice

so you may call me selfish because I hate standing still

but when my bones are feeding the earth

my head will be held high
