In the quiet moments.
In the moments where I’m so busy I barely have time to think.
In the early morning before the sun paints the darkness with hues of yellow, pink, and blue.
When something funny happens.
When someone or something frustrates me.
When I have a reason to celebrate.
In the warm, bright, afternoon sun.
In the shadows of big trees, the smell of eucalyptus wafting in the breeze.
When I know you’re busy and I don’t want to be clingy.
When I’m with my friends.
When you’re with your friends.
Under the light of the moon and stars.
When I’m determined, anxious or scared.
When I’m feeling amorous or glamorous.
During all these moments, my thoughts are of you. In these moments I cannot escape the smile that curves my lips and lights up my eyes.
In all of these moments, I miss you.
