I had a dream.
We wound away our time together
Like the current of a river.
Moving at a speed
That was deliberate for its purpose.
The dream had its easy float
Deep and wide
Pools of laughs, love, and adventure
Leisurely drifting along
The dream had its rough water
Rapids full of crashing rocks
Of hard scrabbled times.
These were few and reinforcing
Our love is resilient.
A life with you
A dream that came true.
