I float in the wind
Never landing
No one picks me up
I am barely noticed
Just another discarded thing
Not even sure where I’m supposed to be
How long will I be walked passed
While my surroundings are long abandoned
Will the buildings become ruins
Waiting to be explored
People who never knew me
Might unearth what was left
To become a lesson of another time
But what will they learn?
From someone that life happened to
Someone who never lived
Someone who was consumed by the culture
But had no one by their side when they left
Resilience maybe
How to go on
Despite feeling alone
How to love others
To make up for the lack of love you receive
There is strength in that
I’m staying around long enough
To grow to love yourself
