I Breathe with My Skin

I want to take my bra off,

these girls, they need to breathe.

It’s not I’m anti-social,

just many make me sneeze.

***

You need to back away now,

you’re over-stepping on my line -

but in this crowd of gossip,

you’ll never hear my whine.

***

Would you please unhook me now?

Would you please set me free?

Your paper-land is beautiful,

but I really need to breathe.

***

Every time I look ahead,

it's stars and shiny things.

I keep trying to divert my gaze,

but eyes keep glistening.

***

Not that I don’t want to love -

I’m tired now, and weak.

I must go home, before I drown,

I just need to breathe.
