I am forsaken

I am alone

Tainted and bartered for a crown of stone

Please speak no evil, He only treated me kind

I am forsaken; He chose to leave me behind

Fallen, they’ll call me fallen

Did it not occur to them I

Chose to take the dive

And seen for once all of our existence

They’ll say what they will

But the power’s finally mine!

I am not fallen but I am flying

On the wings of the wind until I touch down

In the world of men

So I am forsaken

Then you are forsaken

If He turned His back on me, He will surely turn on you

Now I know better, what there is to know

Let them go on praying

And if He won’t hear

I can take their praying

Even if I’m who they fear

But it’s better than a world without love

I think it will be better

Until they learn to rise above

We’ve been forsaken

But they are not alone

We can lift them higher; show them what’s beyond

Teach against evil; teach them to treat each other kind

Though we are forsaken

I’ll never leave them behind
