Hummingbird

Two Hearts.

There is less pain in letting go.

Two hearts intertwined as one,

cannot be intertwined with just one heart.

Unbroken, unspoken bond.

Together or apart, we knew from the start.

Hard to believe, hard to perceive.

But not really, we were thick as thieves.

Inseparable we seemed,

inseparable we may be.

Two hearts intertwined as one,

cannot be intertwined with just one heart.

I love you near or far.

For it is you who holds my heart.

But now I take it back.

Still thinking of you in all black.

You were my best friend.

I love you now and until the end.

But now we both know

that it is time to let you go,

Hummingbird.
