How to Stay in Tune and Harmonize with Humanity
The Orchestra of Life
We each have a different instrument that we bring to the room. We each have different ways to keep ourselves in tune.
What is the instrument you play? What is your role of the day?
One could say that a whole universe lies in our uniqueness. The specific ways we walk and talk.
There has never been a you before and when you leave there will never be a you again.
Have you embraced the wonderful parts that make you who you are?
One of the things I love to do, as I am a Shakuhachi flutist, is to harmonize with other instruments. I’ve played with ukuleles, guitars, pianos, saxophones and even the cello.
It never ceases to amaze me the many ways that we can play together. The many ways that we can express ourselves and who we are through other instruments.
Since the body itself is also an instrument, we are always playing music. If only there are others who are able to listen.
And when we keep ourselves in tune, the world is able to benefit from that sweet sound that comes from within.
“Music is the universal language of mankind.” ~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Have you heard it? The sound your body makes when someone around you is being fake?
With the way that you respond near others who have no bond? Maybe even trying to force and ensemble with people you are not as fond?
In this day, it pays to be able to play your own way. And to be able to have your say with your own sound is okay.
When it comes to harmonizing in the grand orchestra, who is the conductor in your life? The instructor that allows you to evolve so effortlessly?
As we grow through what we go through, we resonate. With the very souls that vibrate at the same frequency of what we do frequently.
It's a pleasure to know that there's always more room to grow in life. If there wasn’t room to grow, what could we ever truly know?
Would there be such a thing as a future without the risk of failure? Such a thing as learning without the blessing of a lesson?
In this way, there are times we may play a note too soon. We make mistakes or find ourselves at times out of tune.
We may shut away the things that we find keep us down. But even those things can make for an even more pleasurable sound.
For whether it's peace or pandemonium that abounds, our experiences in life can make our melody profound.
As we come together to make the beautiful sound, we receive the energy that goes around to come back around.
And what we felt was lost can again be found. When feelings get too high to bring us back to the ground.
My friend, what is the sound that you will admit? Once, of course, you commence to working with it?
If we're always seeking and searching, always striving and working, will we ever experience the love that is constantly lurking?
Learn to appreciate the music you make. Keep being great in each step that you take. Thankful for each and every note you create.
We are blending together for a time when we all find life's true treasure. Where you eventually find yours will be your own steps to measure.
I trust that you received a message today on playing your instrument of love, playing your instrument of peace.
Playing in ways that puts your mind and others at ease.
Playing your instrument of joy, and expressing yourself for your own health. We can never truly do it for anyone else.
“Music produces a kind of pleasure which human nature cannot do without.” ~Confucius
