Here Comes The Sun

Amongst the dark cumbersome clouds

Looming over the fractions of humanity

Amongst the pain and not knowing

Will I be next?

Will someone close to me get it?

Will it reign strong in its power?

Will we live like caged fools forever?

Who do we truly trust?

What’s behind this pandemic?

Control and fear growing substantially

Mental illness exacerbated

Our freedoms halted

Time given to contemplation

Maintain calmness

Sheltered comfort

Self Isolation mandatory

Covid-19 must diminish

From whence it came

Here comes the sun

Warming us with its daily goodness

Giving us hope and faith

For better days to come

Health at the front line

Of our temporary existence

Holding tightly to life’s

Beautiful sand-timer
