Her

Galatea

By A. R. AmbrosiPublished 7 years ago 1 min read

Have you seen her

The way the sunlight

Catches her hair ablaze

She blinds me

I fear her

I admire her

I worship her

My goddess

She's so soft and gentle

Her eyes like reflecting pools

Drawing me in

To drown

To swim

To live forever

In agonised bliss

Both genuine and unattainable

She is a walking contradiction

Would she feed me

The ambrosia of the gods

So that I might walk beside her

Look at her divine beauty

Without losing my sight

She wouldn't

Because she does not exist

She is my Galatea

And no gods pity me enough

To create her

love poems

About the Creator
