Hallucination or Reality?

A Mystery Poem.

Hallucinations were a part of her day.

Ignoring them wasn’t difficult anymore.

She was accustomed to being watched

And never truly being alone.

These hallucinations made a home

Just far enough to be noticed.

But not close enough to interfere with her

Day to day routine.

Then one day a new one appeared…

She instantly filled with terror.

He began to come near.

His presence was cold.

The man was real old…

She regretted never wanting to recover.

This man was unlike any of the others.

As he got closer and closer,

She ran for cover.

It was too late.

He was right in her face.

Her family says their daughter

Disappeared without a trace.

Hallucinations were a part of her day…

Eventually making her run away.

Some don’t believe the man was a

Hallucination at all.

Maybe she was kidnapped.

We’ll never know…
