Grief
Wait a minute. Say that again. A Serious thought expressed in a limerick? What could be more ludicrous than that?

I grieve for a world that won't listen,
that cares less for fact than for fiction,
for a faith that abuses
the grace it refuses
to grant to the other, omits them.

Amazing!! No wonder it’s a Top Story
Who me with Perky Pastor knock-'Knock' Jokes? But U'z have become the VM responders 'Pro-Bono' Chaplain for all of us Vocalites within this Scrunched in Community. - Remembering: In the Navy a 'Chaplain' was "The Chaplain," period; no matter the Denomination-Religion - As you have been for this little Jewish kid ~ And, I respect you for that ~ Jay Jay Kantor, Chatsworth, California 'Senior' Vocal Author - Vocal Author Community -
Well Done, Congratulations on Top Story 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Beautiful
Profound, Randy. An unlikely thing from a limerick, but profound - 💙Anneliese
Excellent work, Randy. Congrats!
Very effective use of an unconventional method to bring a life-changing message.
A powerful statement and beautifully written 💖Congratulations on your top story! 👏
I grieve for the same world. Each line was so subtly powerful. I'll be thinking of this for a long while. Thank you for sharing. Congratulations on Top Story :)
Deep, profound. True. 🥰. Congrats on Top Story.
Congratulations on your Top Story Randy! It is both ludicrous and tragic and Vocal agrees. Well done!
Congratulations on your Top Story!
Congratulations on your Top Story!
I love the depth of this limerick! Congrats on a well-deserved Top Story!
Oh! I feel this deeply and very much agree 💕 profound and honest, excellent
A beautiful limerick. Congratulations on your top story!
You know something (you probably already do) the traditionally insipid nature of limericks makes this storm of anger and grief so much more powerful it almost hurts. Congratulations on A) the Top Story! and B) renewing my faith that Vocal can find older pieces that were ignored almost to death. (I have a particular horror of the way Tinkerbell dies in Barrie's original "Peter Pan" story.
Congratulations on a well-deserved Top Story, Randy. Well done!
Oh I’m so happy this made top story! Congratulations, Randy- SOOOOO DESERVED!
I’m so glad this was mentioned in the Raise Your Voice thread, because I would’ve completely missed it. A little limerick that packs a powerful punch!
Hey hey, congratulations on your Top Story ❤️🎉✨💯🎉🎉
Congrats on the Top STory
This is brilliantly done!
This is excellent, Randy!
A limerick is a form like any other, often it is funny and shallow (not in a bad way) but this is deep and meaningful.
