Olivine carried from Creation
Visiting stars splash us chartreuse
Crumble sparkly silicates in eons' pestle
Green deposits ground to dust on shores' mortar
Seeding our table periodic
***
Verdancy arises in granulation
Atomizing the thousand thousand emeralds
Awaiting the footprints of the mesmerized
Stepping colorfully in variegated footfall
That refills as suddenly with briny answers
***
We steer through colors, dyes, and tints
Our lives in shades of meaning and nuance
Nothing plants us so solidly on terra firma
As beachcombing sands of green, seasoning the sea
With starlight
