Who’s the real enemy

It’s power and greed

That keep you hungry

Not for more

But for scraps on the floor

Of those hiding castles

Behind curtains with tassels

Aren’t you tired of serving

Those who’re constantly swerving

All of their own own responsibilities

To keep you bent down on your knees

Scrubbing their floors

And doing their chores

Feeding their superfamilies

While yours steadily melancholies

We could stand up you know

And take care of our own

Let them crumble

Watch them stumble

On their lack of ability

To keep up their civility

When faced with pressures you’ve lived through daily

At the hands of the games that they orchestrate gaily

Anything can be destroyed

If you’re willing to meet the void

A small price to pay

To bring forth a better day

For those whom we love and those we care for

We could slay the beast and silence it’s roar
