Fortress of Solitude
The same walls that were built, can also crumble

Reaching through the dark abyss
Darkness clawing at my soul
Broken and Alone are my true friends
Loneliness never deserts me
Only heartbreak comforts me
Pain lets me know I'm alive
Madness assures me I'm just fine
My Fortress of Solitude
Where is the light I seek
I long to be the warmth you meet
Be the star to my starless night
Give me the courage to take flight
Would you leave the world behind for me?
Would you follow me to the ends Earth?
Why do I find comfort in misery and pain?
Why do I take two steps back and find no gain?
What love can set me free from the wretched fate?
What savior would grant me great escape, from the me I've become?
Dark and twisted
Never lifted
Fortress of Solitude
