"Forevermore"

A sonnet of Love and War, inspired by the poetry of Shakespeare, Rumi, coupled with the myth of Persephone and Hades…

A bright, hot sun-bathed day,

Gently plucking at thine red seeds, taking a luscious bite out of Summer itself,

Not a single sight of grey nor disarray,

All the whilst listening to a heavenly Soliloquy, Behold suddenly as if in stealth –

.

Persephone now fumbles and tumbles down, down once more straight to Hades.

A conflicted love affair; between the Winter and Spring, destined to all eternity.

Longeth for the song of heavenly-sweet Summertime. Thou owest, however can this be?

Was this ill fate pre-destined in the stars? And so The Plan unfolds, fervently:

.

Together we whisper, spiral and wind, all the way up the grapevine.

From deep hell to the high heavens, upwards we shoot, root and take hold.

The universal war that rages on. That is, Until we reach the Divine

Be it light of day, bleak dusk, or deepest darkest night, Together we Smite! Lo and Behold –

.

Doth warm embrace and saving fate, Together we entwine, thy stars align

Hath bonded in Holy grace, destined to the very core, “Forevermore.”
