For The Lass I Once Remember
A Sonnet for a Memory, A Summer of a Girl full of Dreams..
Sun glowing bright red and orange; Trees dance in a breeze glistened with hues of Summers hopeful delight. Around, and around she does twirl in wonder; little feet on rain damped grass, pitter patter, pitter patter.
Oh but her pale blue eyes doth gleam with starry night cries; dreams of a young lass painted on the halls of broken promised walls.
So long dear summer, yet once more thee shall return a gray, oh but this sweet wee lass will not turn another shade.
Honey soaked finger tips, how daring was she; mingling with bees, dirt on skinned knees. Hums, and Hymns doth escape from her rosy lips; she sings to the heavens, thunderous winds carrying her voice up, up and away.
So long dear summer; twas the script thee played in act here, and bow there, that giveth her a wanderlust to dance from mountains to the sea.
Little girl dressed in yellow; adorned in flowers thick in mellow moods; so hungry to fly with birds of blue, she was growing into a lady, soon too soon.
For you must believe it and believe it true; She was a lover of the summer, and the summer of her.
