First Love

A blush that blooms beneath a stolen glance,

A heart that skips a nervous, happy dance.

First love, a whisper, soft and shy,

A world reborn in a loved one's eye.

Fumbling words and laughter light,

Days filled with sunshine, warm and bright.

Stolen moments, hands that brush so near,

A secret language, whispered in the ear.

Butterflies erupt with every beat,

A name repeated, oh so sweet.

Naive dreams and whispered vows,

Forever etched beneath the willow boughs.

A stolen kiss, a taste of fire,

A world ignited, burning higher.

First love, a whirlwind, sweet and strong,

A melody that lingers all life long.

But sometimes, paths may twist and turn,

Lessons learned, a heart that yearns.

The memory remains, a bittersweet sting,

A first love's echo, a fragile spring.

For even though the flame may fade,

The embers glow, a love unplayed.

A tenderness born in youthful days,

A guiding light through life's many maze.
