In clusters green, a verdant crown,

Bananas hang, all weighed down.

On sturdy stalks, they sway and preen,

A tropical and sunlit scene.

The long, broad leaves, like fans unfurl,

Shielding the fruit from scorching whirl.

A symphony of rustling sighs,

As gentle breezes softly rise.

From emerald green to golden bright,

The ripening process, a joyful sight.

Freckled with brown, a mottled hue,

A promise sweet, a taste brand new.

Monkeys may swing, with playful glee,

Reaching for treasures, ripe and free.

Parrots may squawk, a vibrant sound,

As juicy treats come tumbling down.

But whether eaten, whole or sliced,

A potassium punch, truly prized.

In smoothies sweet, or baking's art,

Bananas play a delicious part.

So let us raise a grateful hand,

For this gift of nature's fertile land.

The humble banana, a simple delight,

A taste of sunshine, warm and bright.
