The city stirs, a symphony of horns,

But here, within these walls, a different dawn.

Sunlight streaks across your sleeping face,

A golden brushstroke, etching gentle grace.

Five minutes stolen from the rushing tide,

A precious pause where worries can't reside.

I watch you breathe, a rhythm soft and slow,

The world a watercolor waiting to flow.

I reach for you, a whisper in the air,

Fingers tracing patterns on your hair.

Your eyelids flutter, a sleepy smile appears,

Chasing away the remnants of past fears.

"Good morning, love," the words brush past your lips,

A melody that every sorrow grips.

We tangle limbs, a comforting embrace,

A silent language, love's familiar space.

The scent of coffee mingles with your skin,

A bittersweet aroma that draws me in.

We share a pot, a ritual of two,

Each sip a promise whispered, warm and true.

I steal a glance, your eyes meet mine, so deep,

A universe of emotions we both keep.

Unspoken words hang heavy in the air,

A love story written in a tender stare.

We talk of dreams, ambitions set alight,

And silly things that make our laughter bright.

The mundane details, a tapestry we weave,

Building a world where only we believe.

We hold each other close, a silent vow,

To fight the world, together, somehow.

Five minutes vanish, fleeting as a sigh,

But in that space, a lifetime seems to lie.

The weight of duty pulls you from my side,

A lingering kiss, a promise to confide.

You dress in a flurry, the day's demands appear,

But your touch lingers, a ghost I hold so dear.

The door swings shut, a final whispered word,

A sweet reminder, like a cherished bird.

The city's clamor floods the empty space,

But your memory, a smile upon my face.

Five minutes stolen, a fleeting interlude,

Yet in that pause, our love is understood.

It fuels the fire within, a constant spark,

A promise whispered, echoing in the dark.

For even though the world may pull us apart,

Those stolen moments hold a piece of our heart.

They remind us, through the chaos and the fray,

That love's embrace will find a way.

So as the day unfolds, with its trials and strife,

I'll carry the warmth of those five minutes of life.

A reminder of the love that sets us free,

And the promise of another dawn, just you and me.

Sunlight paints your morning face,

A smile that sets my heart apace.

Five minutes stolen, just us two,

Whispered secrets, skies of blue.

Coffee steam, a fragrant dance,

Lost in eyes, a stolen glance.

The world fades out, a distant hum,

In this embrace, only we come.

A gentle touch, a fingertip,

Sparks ignite, a playful nip.

Laughter rings, a joyful sound,

Happiness in every word we've found.

Five minutes short, a bittersweet sigh,

But love's embers burn ever so high.

The day beckons, duties call,

But your memory lingers, through it all.
