Finding myself

Meeting my dad for the 1st time

“Finding Tim”

The air was crisp and cool. Seeing the sky painted with a purple mountain majesty. A thin layer of white snow covered the ground. I ask myself who am I? A special kind of woman. A bastard is a girl that never knew her father one that yearned for him but never saw him. A helpless soul that will go to battle without anyone by her side. She will become stronger with every failure she encounters. She will keep her chin down, eyes up and keep swinging. She will absorb harsh words and not let anyone see her shed a tear. She will love with ninety percent of her heart and keep the other ten percent tucked in a safe place. She can make a castle from rubble. She is like an oak tree, if a branch falls off she will not topple. She sometimes can be a sidewalk and crack but she knows how much pressure she can handle. She allows people walk over her but sometimes can be uneven and the fool will trip and fall on their face. She is a modern day Robin Hood protects children and elderly. She is a giver but has self righteous that nobody witnesses. She has climbed mountains that nobody can phantom. She has drank from the depths of misery. Carried burdens and baggage that didn’t belong to her and tries not to complain. When the day is done her children are her biggest fan, not a guy or a man. Meeting my father doesn’t change who I am or the fact that I was abandoned. I found myself and that’s everlasting.
