Fast-track Living
…till the widening of perception
There he is in his kitchen,
drinking stress-fully a cup of decaf morning,
reading emails without a single look
at the sunny scenery through the window.
The more the actions, the less the time for him to listen to his thoughts.
- Faux safety-
He’s leaving his giant house,
of which he uses just two rooms,
and runs to his expensive car,
for which he‘s proud of.
The fancier the car, the lower the self-esteem of the owner.
-Inconvenient truth-
He always talks on the phone while driving,
dealing with cases that “can’t wait”,
sacrificing every “now”
on the altar of the career goddess.
The more his success at work, the more his self-value.
-Illusion-
He arrives at the office
and runs another race
to win the “most breathlessly-working businessman” prize,
to buy another country house with the bonus.
The more the belongings, the less freedom.
- Slavery-
He ends up at home, full of emptiness.
He drinks a glass of alcoholic consolation,
desperately searching his pockets and drawers
for crumbs of the freedom he had as a kid.
The more the observing of this searching, the more the possibilities for awareness.
-Truth-
He can’t “see” yet. But he will.
-Destiny-
