Sometimes you have to leave right away

So the house gets left in disarray

You do you’re best to repair it on the fly

As you try to keep the wings level

But sometimes there’s no fighting the devil

So you must strangle him in love

To rise above

I love (& identify with) those first two lines to such a degree I almost miss how much I love the rest of it. I agree with Dharrsheena completely. "Strangle the devil in love" is a fantastically evocative phrase.

  • Oooo, strangle the devil in love! I loved that!
