there's so much social pressure
that's how we get beautiful people
they look like gods on the outside
to hide scarred children on the inside
they forgot how to be real
we idolize zombies
form fictitious friendships
laying our souls on the table
for people who will never see us
we put ourselves on display
for moments of fleeting fame
our internet personas grow up before we do
too afraid of our feelings
keep our traumas behind us
so we can pretend to be perfect
only perfect people are loved
doesn't it make you feel sorry
for the rich and famous
not me
