Writer's review: This is dedicated to all broken homes. I hope that all the broken pieces can find their rightful place and be fixed.

Family

Family stands as one,

Unshaken they sworn,

Forever and ever they horn,

In unity they'd stand, their hearts intertwined.

Misconceptions grew like thorns,

Tearing bonds apart,

Each day drifted by, a silent, cold sea,

Hatred festered, chaos they see.

Fallacies and rumors, a toxic brew,

Jealousy and mistrust, in hearts it grew,

In a family once close, love's fire burned,

Transforming kin in strangers, it's true.

Once they laughed, A common goal they'd chase,

Now they passed in silence, each in their own space,

Like aliens in their own home, they roamed,

Invisible barriers, love had been damned.

The ties that had bound them, now frayed and thin,

Scheming, plotting has become a thing,

Years passed in silence, cavernous void,

The rift remained, like a wound unalloyed,

Reconciliation and forgiveness they avoid.

But time has a way to soften pain,

To mend what was broken,

To bridge the disdain,

Through whispered apologies,

Tears flowed free.

Slowly they learned,

As seasons would turn,

That wounds could be healed,

Love could be revived.

The past's bitter echoes,

Love's fire anew,

Unity and trust renew,

A family reborn, in love redefined.
