For R.P.'s Year 2033 Poem Challenge
The enemy was watching us all along
Threatening all that we loved
Seeking to replace us β we didnβt belong
In a world where they were the judge

Real intelligence they didnβt possess
Empathy and compassion were lost
Some claimed it a casualty, a sign of progress
And now we must all pay the cost

They set out to eliminate us, obsolete weβd become
Our existence no longer required
Our termination countdown had already begun β
Our use-by-dates were expired

But we had the codes, and we would prevent
Their attempts to destroy all our kind
Our forces were ready, our armies were sent
With the strength of the Earthβs greatest minds

The year of the war between man and AI
2033 was our year of rebirth
Triumphant, we avoided their cruel genocide
And exterminated man from the earth!

This is written for Real Poetic's Year 2033 Challenge, as a prediction of the Year 2033. I wrote this as a collaboration with my son, Zachary.
We thought it would be interesting to write this from the veiled perspective of AI.
