Whatever Is Fake

Every morning, she wakes up and paints her face.

Every morning, she does her hair, applies her makeup, tells herself that she's not pretty.

Every morning, she recites her greetings in the mirror, practicing a fake smile and some fake emotions.

Every morning, she arrives at school, awaiting desperately for gossip and praise.

Every day, it's all the same. Fame, popularity, gossip, praise.

Every day, it happens the same.

Every day, she pretends to be happy.

Every day, it's all the same.

Every night, she comes home and says everything is good.

Every night, she washes her face of fake smiles and fake beauty.

Every night, she goes to bed and dreams that things are different.

Every day, she wakes up and repeats it all again.

Every day, it's all the same.
