Ephemerosynthesis

A Poem

Author's Note :

Ahhhh! Finally I've done this. This piece was a bit of a personal challenge for me—crafting a “wordic” poem, aiming to layer meaning into each line with unusual and evocative language. Finally, here it is, an exploration of silent expression and unspoken essence. I’d love to know—how does it resonate with you!

divest

yourself of

v e r b a l s

fracture language

into dust motes,

dispersed as chaff

upon unseen currents

convey to me the

s u b t l e s s e n c e

of your breath’s

abeyance

the slivers of

quietude that linger

in abandoned syllables

and the tremor

l a t e n t

in unsaid reveries

let your unspoken

cadences unfurl

in half-light,

refracting your

a r c a n e

truths

reveal the murmur

of your solitude’s

weight and timbre,

tendrils of a forgotten

lexicon etched

upon your bones

decant your

a n i m a

in sparse intimations,

bare, unvarnished

let me trace

the encrypted pathways

of your being

in the intervals

between each sigh

and the resonance

of withheld breaths

relinquish

the machinery of

r h e t o r i c

and let your pulse

become the lexeme

let the hallowed residue

of every silent utterance

d i s s o l v e

through the air

a silent psalm

that I alone may read
