Cry

Sometimes, you don't need to dry your tears; just let them flow. Let your tears flow and flood the room if it must. Crying doesn't hurt you. It releases those suppressed emotions. Cry if you must... We have become so comfortable with our dysfunctions that we suppress our emotions and think it's the new normal. Jesus wept, so why do we pretend like it's not okay to cry? Crying is one of the purest forms of expression. Crying doesn't make you weak. It shows your strength in acknowledging your emotions. A nonchalant attitude is now accepted as the new norm, but some of us are walking around with baggage full of emotions that are weighing heavily on our mental health. Our mental health is often overlooked because we don't want to address what's affecting us. Some of us have baggage, but we say, "This is who I am; take me or leave me," but is it really who we are, or have we just gotten accustomed to our dysfunction and expect everyone else to tap dance or adjust to it though it's unhealthy? 🤔 There is an increase in depression worldwide, but we are just accepting it as the norm. Cry if you must, unpack if you must, but don't drown yourself. Growth requires acknowledgment. Psalm 120:1
