Eclipse’s Visit

Stars twinkle brightly in the daytime gloom, Everything feels and acts strange, like in a cartoon. Cats and dogs start to act quite odd, Yowling and barking at the same time, as if prodded by God. Bosses scratch their heads, not sure what to do, As employees take impromptu breaks too.

The eclipse, 8th April 2024

Everywhere it is dark, the sun goes on a trip,
Creating chaos, making folks flip.
Lunatics howl and claim it's the end,
In reality, it's just a cosmic trend.
People gather, their eyes to the sky,
Solar glasses on, ready to spy.
Even the birds seem a bit perplexed,
Squirrels run around, feeling vexed.

Lurking in shadows, the moon takes its place,
Eager to cover the sun's shining face.
Crickets chirp in the eerie twilight,
Peeking out cautiously, afraid of the sight.
Stars twinkle brightly in the daytime gloom,
Everything feels strange, like in a cartoon.

Suddenly, the world is plunged into night,
Everyone gasps at the wondrous sight.
People cheer and clap as darkness falls,
Laughing at how the moon briefly stalls.
In the sky, a celestial ballet unfolds,
Casting shadows on mountains and wolds.
Everyone's in awe, even the most cynical skeptic,
Staring up in wonder, feeling energetic.

Cats and dogs start to act quite odd,
Yowling and barking, as if prodded by God.
Eclipses, it seems, affect all creatures,
Plunging them into bizarre features.
Squirrels wear tiny sunglasses, looking absurd,
Chickens lay eggs in the shape of a bird.
Laughter echoes through the streets,
As everyone enjoys these cosmic treats.

Planes and trains pause their commotion,
Taking a break from their daily ocean.
Passengers peek out, eager for a glance,
At the celestial phenomenon, they have a chance.
In-flight announcements turn comedic,
As pilots joke about the sun being eclipsed,
The flight attendants perform a cosmic dance,
Entertaining passengers with their chance.

Meanwhile, in offices, work comes to a halt,
As employees gather to see the celestial assault.
Desk lamps flicker, as if in fear,
Of the darkness that suddenly appears.
Bosses scratch their heads, not sure what to do,
As employees take impromptu breaks too.
Meetings turn into impromptu eclipse parties,
With snacks and drinks served to all the invitees.

Children giggle and point at the sky,
Wondering why the sun says goodbye.
They make eclipse-themed crafts with glee,
Using cardboard and glitter to make it all be.
Parents join in, their inner child unleashed,
Crafting paper moons and suns, feeling like a feast.
The backyard becomes a makeshift observatory,
With makeshift telescopes and binoculars for inventory.

Neighbors come together, sharing eclipse tales,
Exaggerating sightings, their excitement never pales.
One claims to have seen a UFO fly by,
While another swears they saw a shooting star in the sky.
Theories abound, discussions get wild,
As everyone tries to explain like a child.
Some blame it on aliens, others on fate,
But everyone agrees it's a celestial date.

As the eclipse reaches its peak,
People marvel at the sight, unable to speak.
Cameras click and snap, capturing the moment,
Preserving memories for years to foment.
Selfies with the eclipse become the new craze,
As everyone tries to capture the sun's hazy gaze.
Filters and hashtags flood social media feeds,
As everyone shares their eclipse deeds.

But as quickly as it came, the eclipse fades away,
The sun returns, bringing back the day.
People sigh and reluctantly return to their lives,
Knowing they've witnessed something that truly thrives.
The world goes back to its normal routine,
But the memories of the eclipse continue to gleam.
For in that moment of celestial delight,
People found joy in the darkest of night.

So next time an eclipse comes around,
Prepare yourself for the sights and sounds.
Embrace the darkness, enjoy the show,
Smile at the wonders of the cosmos on the go.
