Stars are echoes of the past

Echoes of the past, they call to me,

Whispers of memories I can't unsee,

The ghosts of moments that came and went,

Haunting me with their discontent.

They linger in the corners of my mind,

Shadows that refuse to be left behind,

The echoes of a love that's gone,

The laughter of a childhood long.

They speak of things that I can't forget,

Of hopes and dreams that I haven't met,

Of the roads that I did not take,

Of the risks I was too scared to make.

And yet, in the echoes of the past,

I find a strength that will forever last,

A memory of all that I have been,

And all the places that I have seen.

So let the echoes of the past ring true,

For they are the pillars of the life I knew,

And though they may sometimes make me cry,

I'll cherish them until the day I die.
