I’m talking to you
Telling you things I should be telling myself
Lovely things about how great you are
That you deserve to be loved
That you’re worth waiting for
I don’t realize what I’m doing
Because I keep my heart locked in a drawer

Oh we do this, don't we? But somehow it's good to realize it and to start also telling it all to ourselves. Good one.
Yep, story of my life. Always listening to some young woman of whom I am especially fond talking about boyfriends & trying to reassure them with words I cannot accept for myself. Until I got married, of course.
