I’m talking to you

Telling you things I should be telling myself

Lovely things about how great you are

That you deserve to be loved

That you’re worth waiting for

I don’t realize what I’m doing

Because I keep my heart locked in a drawer

Oh we do this, don't we? But somehow it's good to realize it and to start also telling it all to ourselves. Good one.

  • Yep, story of my life. Always listening to some young woman of whom I am especially fond talking about boyfriends & trying to reassure them with words I cannot accept for myself. Until I got married, of course.
