  • i don’t believe in bullet points

i don’t believe in lists

i don’t believe in differing opinions

or the soft peppering of fists

i don't believe in magic anymore

i just can't believe those light are real

i don't believe that this was included,

included as part of the deal

i don’t believe in name brand t shirts

i don’t believe in tennis shoes

i don’t believe in sportsball

i don’t embrace the crowd

i don’t believe in niche and cliché

i don’t believe in bullshit blasé

i don’t believe in anything

i don’t believe i can think i can feel

i don’t believe in theatre

i don’t believe in mime

i don’t believe in sentence structure

i don’t believe in rhyme

i don’t believe in circumstance

i don’t believe a petty glance

i don’t believe in second chance

i don’t believe there’s any chance at all

i don’t believe in inclusion

i don’t believe in absolution

i don’t believe in resolution

i don’t believe in in any solution

i don’t believe in the elusive ever after

i don’t believe in vexatious daytime dreams

i don’t believe in happy fucking endings

i don’t believe in feel good schemes

i don’t believe in anything

i don’t believe in fake

i don’t believe in real

i don’t believe that i’m a flake

i don’t believe in exact precise

i don’t believe in “by the eye”

i don’t believe in those mistaken moments

you knew i was here to buy

i definitely don’t believe in any of this malarkey

not any more...

“I don’t believe in rhyme”. 😹 This was a fun poem Brenton.

  • I definitely don't believe in happy endings. Loved your poem!

So, Brenton, this of course begs the question, “What do you believe in?” Lol. Nicely written.

"I find your lack of faith disturbing" would probably be too cliché. Seriously depressing, but well written.

It's like a next level of nihilism 😶
