Divorce

For a Friend

By Sandra PinksterPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

i married you when we had nothing

we raised our kids when we were poor

and that you have success, you call ME the gold digging whore.

i'm not the one who fooled around

who found somewhere else to sleep

YOU broke up this family, and left it in a heap.

don't send me your resentment

don't give me an excuse

i stood and fought for this family, when you couldn't see it's use.

i'm living for our kids and me now

getting back to smile and fun

taking back control, igniting the spark that you taught me to shun.

heartbreak
