In tangled threads of love undone,
Two souls once intertwined, now torn,
A chasm yawns, where hearts were one,
A symphony of silence born.
---
The whispers fade, the laughter dies,
As promises dissolve in air,
In vacant eyes, a haunting guise,
Of dreams that crumble, laid bare.
---
One walks away, with head held high,
While shadows cling to the one left behind,
In depths of despair, they cannot deny,
A darkness that twists their mind.
---
The weight of loss, a crushing blow,
As hope succumbs to endless night,
In their tortured soul, a seed does sow,
Of a morbid, desperate flight.
---
In the stillness of the bleakened morn,
A choice is made, with trembling hand,
To escape the torment, forever torn,
To sever the ties that bind to the land.
---
A life extinguished, a flame gone cold,
In the aftermath of love's cruel game,
A tragic end, a story untold,
Of a broken heart consumed by flame.
---
Let us not forget, in the depths of despair,
That every life is precious and rare,
May we find solace in knowing, that somewhere,
There is light to be found, even in the darkest lair.
