A response to Randy Baker's challenge. You can read about it here:
A perilous serenade-
Love,
Moonlit.
Your lips a whisper in the dark.
Your talons trace the labyrinth of,
My ethereal heart.
A velvet comfort.
Momentary.
As the searing cascade
Of morning light
Ruptures the enigma,
Your allure
An illusion.
Suspended- -
-Then strewn upwards
In a handful
of tear -
Dust.
Before shattering -
Like a Grecian urn.
Into jagged shards,
Of hate.
Across the stone cold
Marble
Floor.
