Courage or Impatience?

Choosing the Path of Heart or Haste

In a quiet room where shadows loom,

A question hangs in the air's perfume.

Is it courage that propels the heart,

Or impatience tearing it apart?

When dawn breaks forth with golden light,

And dreams awaken from the night,

Do we stride with fearless grace,

Or rush, afraid to lose the race?

Courage stands in steadfast ground,

With patience, silent and profound.

It waits for moments ripe and pure,

A journey slow, yet always sure.

Impatience, like a roaring fire,

Ignites the soul with fierce desire.

It pushes, pulls, demands and pleads,

To swiftly satisfy its needs.

In fields of green where wildflowers sway,

Does courage choose the longer way?

Through winding paths and thorny thickets,

It marches on, no room for quicklets.

Yet, impatience, with its hurried pace,

Seeks the shortcut, the swift embrace.

It leaps and bounds, defies the norm,

Embracing chaos in its storm.

When the mountain's peak is high,

And clouds obscure the hopeful sky,

Does courage climb with steady feet,

Or does impatience seek to cheat?

A river flows, serene and wide,

With courage flowing by its side.

Its waters carve through stone and earth,

A testament to patience’s worth.

But impatience thrashes, wild and free,

A raging torrent to the sea.

It floods, it crashes, breaks and bends,

Unmindful of where the journey ends.

In the heart of every soul,

Two forces vie to take control.

Courage whispers, “Take your time,”

While impatience chimes, “The world is mine!”

Yet, in the dance of life’s grand scheme,

Both have roles, or so it seems.

For courage without a spark of haste,

May find its strength in endless waste.

And impatience, unchecked and wild,

May leave destruction, fierce and riled.

But when they blend in measured parts,

They forge a path for braver hearts.

So as we tread this mortal coil,

Through moments sweet and times of toil,

Let courage guide with gentle hand,

And impatience nudge to help us stand.

For in the balance, we may find,

The perfect harmony of mind.

A dance of patience and of speed,

To meet our every want and need.

Thus, let us live with hearts aligned,

With courage firm, yet not confined.

And impatience, like a fleeting gust,

To stir our souls, but never rush.

In the quiet room where shadows fall,

Let this truth resound in all:

Courage builds the strongest foundation,

With a touch of impatient inspiration.
