A poem for the Comfort Challenge

There's something in the way you kiss

As if your lips were a needle and thread

And you were trying

To sew me back together again

You can see stuffing pouring out

No matter how I try to hold it in

But you just press your lips to the tear

And look up at me with a grin

There is warmth in your hands

Holding me so tender

It let's me no longer fear the cold

Of the upcoming December

Comfort in your hands, comfort in your kiss

Comfort in your face, lover

Comfort in your embrace, lover

Comforting, once so seemingly mundane

Turned to bliss
