'Some women are lost in the fire. Some women are built from it.’ — Michelle K.
We dress as we aren’t
Pink lips, wings, green eyes and
Dresses.
But we have masks for the killers,
Beauty for the girly girls and
Poison for the children.
They dance and dance
Around endless flames,
Counting their blessings
Like they are in pain.
WIshing to come as you aren’t
So wear a mask, paint your skin
The color of massive pumpkin,
Kiss the orange sun
And hug the moon
Taste sweet milk
From black cats
Dressed as humans
And men as dogs
On leashes.
Come as you aren’t
Because after all
You are already a creature
Of the night
