Cherry Blossom Blooming
A Poem of Love and Loss
Petal showers in the sun,
Flitting shadows cast
Two lovers, thinkers, dancing, spinning
pink with breathlessness beginning
Capricious, careen,
an amorous scene
both lie still on summers silken grass
for as quick as it was, it wasn't to last.

This is a scene from around 11 years ago when I was asked to accompany my friend Jordan as he asked our mutual friend Kiki out. We walked through the ornamental cherry trees in the park as they dropped their petals. It was a lovely day and they got together but sadly it only lasted around 6 months.
