You're high and they pump those happy thoughts into your head like it's a dream.

They make your heart race and adrenaline floods through your veins.

It's terrifying but you also feel like you could conquer the world.

But chemicals also burn.

Sometimes they seep through your skin without you even noticing.

They poison you slowly and you're oblivious to how toxic they've made you.

They leave scars and take pieces away from you.

They burn.

They bubble.

Like potions in a witch's cauldron.
