Resonating sadness

Have you ever seen butterflies dancing,

In the midst of a light shower of rain?

The beauty,

The magnificence,

The resounding resonance;

What a great portrayal of pain.

The beauty of feeling a loss for a thing that once held merit within your soul.

The light downpour of tears,

Sliding softly with grace,

To release tension

You can no longer withhold.

Now butterflies most never would fly on rainy days,

For the damage it can bring to their wings.

Much like the person who burdens themselves

With their need to cling to on to things.

So they snuff out their fire that fuels their desires to tell everything damaging goodbye.

But if they dance like the butterflies in a light shower of rain,

They can find beauty within a good cry.
