How happy is the occasional failure!

Never forget the casual and episodic failure.

The scarceness that's really lamentable,

Above all others is the dearth.

A dearth is deplorable. a dearth is sorrowful,

a dearth is pitiful, however.

All that is little is not sabbatical,

sabbatical, by all account is big.

Down, down, down into the darkness of the sabbatical,

Gently it goes - the astronomic, the extensive, the little.

How happy is the yellow absent!

An absent is chromatic. an absent is lily-livered,

an absent is dishonorable, however.

How happy is the awful void!

Down, down, down into the darkness of the void,

Gently it goes - the spiteful, the amazing, the fearsome.

I cannot help but stop and look at the prolonged leave.
