Boredom is the result and cause of all creation,
Why else lay below the stars and call them constellations?
Don't be fooled,
Keep perspective in mind.
For there are some colors to which we are blind.
Where some see greed,
Others see ambition.
Great minds break free of the shackles,
They see through the superstition.
If they could, they would live the best moments in pause.
The ones with control over their lives deserve the utmost applause.
They are the ones that change the world,
Break social laws.
The next time you see someone rise to stardom,
Just think about how much they hated their boredom.

Spectating
I can't imagine dying like this, in a place like this; on a cold, dirty pavement with rush hour traffic screaming by and a crowd looking on while paramedics struggle to find space to move. Who could? Deep down we all think there should be a reason, a moment of clarity... or a family presence, at least. For this man, this boy, the rail thin woman lighting a cigarette in a faux fur jacket will have to do - she's been here since the start, her eyes tracking the movement of my shoulders as we fight to keep him on the right side of the line.
